Choose a campervan or caravan from our wide range that suits your holiday needs to make it that extra special. You can apply filters such as pick-up location, vehicle type, number of berths, even down to specific amenities and if the vehicle is pet friendly, there will always be a Camptoo owner near you.

The advertisements give you a good overview of the camper, with pictures, a description, listed facilities and features. If you see something that sparks your interest, you can easily save it as a favourite to find again the next time you are on Camptoo.

Ask a question or make an obligation-free reservation request

There are two ways to contact the owner of a vehicle via Camptoo: you can start a conversation just by clicking the "Send Message" button in the ad or you can directly "Request a reservation". If you’re still looking around, it is best to use the "Send message" option. Our owners are happy to answer any of your questions.

If you have decided which camper is right for you, it is best to "Request a reservation". The owner can then accept or decline your reservation. Even after the owner has accepted your reservation request, you are still able to request other vehicles or even cancel the reservation. The reservation is only complete and final once you have made a downpayment. Vehicles that have a 'direct booking' symbol can be booked immediately, without acceptance by the owner, you can recognize these vehicles by the thunder icon next to the vehicle name.

Completing your reservation

Once your reservation has been accepted and you would like to go ahead, you will need to complete the simple verification procedure by updating your profile and filling in all your necessary details. Next, you finalize your reservation by proceeding to the checkout and making a down payment of 25% of the rental fee. Please note: if a reservation request has not been finalized with a downpayment, other fellow travelers are still able to book the same vehicle for the same period. By finalizing the reservation request you agree to the terms and conditions of the hire.

8 weeks before the rental commences, the remainder is due to be paid and you'll automatically be reminded of this. Camptoo will then transfer the funds to the owner once you have picked up your camper; this will guarantee that the vehicle will be there for you.

Authorize the security bond

Authorization of the security bond takes place at least two days prior to your departure. The security bond can vary from vehicle to vehicle and you'll find the specified amount within the insurance section of the advertisement. The security bond will be refunded once your trip is over given there are no additional charges such as extra kms, tolls or fuel. For additional peace of mind, you also have the option of taking out Excess Risk Reduction Insurance, this allows you to reduce your security deposit as well as the excess amount paid per incident in the unlikely event of damage or an accident. Sometimes there is a need to cancel your booking. In the case that you do the owner's cancellation policy will apply, and this information can be found on the advertisement as well as within your booking overview. We recommend to always take out a travel insurance policy for your trip that properly covers you in case of cancellation.
