2Experience with camptoo was great. Had to call up a few times as had issues with payment with the system they use changing over, and then covid lockdown meant we couldnt go away. Both people I dealt with were extremely easy to deal with, friendly and very helpful. Reservation process was a bit messy, but apparently in the middle of changing things.

Very good overall. Only time I needed assistance was where I mistakenly thought I had a flat battery and contacted Camptoo, as instructed. I was told to ring the owner. No biggie, but just a little confusion there - I could have saved myself 5 minutes and just phoned Paula to start with. Other than that, the website worked fine, very good communication with reminders on when to pay bond, to leave feedback, and prompt return of my bond at end of my trip.

I used Camptoo because it had plenty of choice & there was not a lot of extra charges or excessively high bond. Booking was easy. While away I wanted to extend my rental by a night & was surprised I couldn’t do it online. It took some time for Camptoo to get back to me but when they did they were apologetic of the delay (they were previously dealing with an emergency). The extension was put through without further delay. All other dealings were great. Could there be a way that the hirer can change the booking online after the rental has started without needing to ring Camptoo?

Until I found Camptoo, I was looking at comercial hiring charges well in excess of $1000 over the fee that I ultimately paid. The fact that we were engaging with an individual vehicle owner rather than a corporate entity cannot be overstated. Camptoo offer a personalised service through their network of motorhome owners. For me it was a totally positive experience.
