This is Michonne, she’s awesome, a samurai zombie destroyer that has everything you need to survive a zombie apocalypse.
With her distinctive traffic purple colour scheme she carries the battle scars of many a zombie hoard attack which adds to her character.
She’s well travelled too, with flags adorning her sides showing where she’s conquered the undead. She’s of Japanese descent, but has spent much time in Europe. We love it when people add more stickers of places they've been!
Though she has seven official seats, it’s possible to squeeze more in, though realistically we would recommend 4 people can travel in comfort. She's a super long wheelbase version, which means there's a massive amount of luggage space behind the 3 rows of seats and she's happy to carry bikes, canoes, small trailers and dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Talking of seats, the interior is unique, with her purple and ivory upholstery converting into a comfy double campbed.
There’s a detachable table (made from a funky little surfboard).
There’s Loads of storage space, with her funky sticker bomb kitchen.
The roof pops up to create an extra sleeping area suitable for airbeds or camping mats. 2 small very close friends can fit in the roof or 1 person in comfort.
She’s got a fridge, portable barbecue, optics for your favourite tipples - very useful for parties!, portable camping stove (no plumbed in gas at the moment) and hot and cold running water. Theres a big selection of cutlery, melamine crockery set and cooking utensils in the van.
She’s fitted with leisure battery topped up from a solar panel and full electric hookup.
The truly unique bit, If you like gaming or movie nights, you’ll love the HDTV, and secret PlayStation which acts as a Blu-ray/DVD player, with audio via the 8 speaker sound system with double subwoofers and Bluetooth connectivity, just don’t upset the rest of the campsite with the bass levels! I’ll happily lend you some great movies to watch or games to play. Great after a days adventure.
The van itself is powered by the near indestructible running gear from a Hilux, but fast it isn’t. Be patient and she will go almost anywhere, I know from driving her through the Swiss alps and up to the top of an italian mountain! Just get used to staying in the slow lane and enjoy the scenery.
She's a joy to drive, with comfy seats, power steering, automatic gearbox and Japanese reliability, And shes no wider than a car so perfect for any roads and a great vehicle to go exploring in.
I have to point out this isn’t a new van obviously, she’s nearly 3 decades old, and has been everywhere so won’t have the finishes of a new Winnebago. There are a few quirks about a van like this which I will talk you through so you can appreciate her character traits.
If your in any doubt I recommend get in touch and I’ll talk everything through or before you decide to hire.
She ideal for festivals and parties - she’s not cosmetically perfect, so we aren’t too precious about a bit of wear and tear.

Check oil and water every 500 miles, there's a simple light system to help do this without opening the bonnet. If in doubt please call.
Stay away from low car parks - she's a 'mid top van, so she wont quite go under barriers.
Although its tough as old boots, this isn't an offroad vehicle so be careful on campgrounds.
Please keep under 60mph, Perfectly fast enough for escaping the zombie hoards and she won't really do much more than that anyway.
Please remove all zombies and bring her back as clean as when you picked her up.
Third party liability + Comprehensive insurance
The security bond for this vehicle is $1,500. The bond will be refunded after your trip ended and needs to be authorized at least 2 days before your trip starts.
We didn't have electric hookup so couldn't use any of those amenities, so I can't comment on them.
Graeme and his wife were really helpful with regards to dropping off and returning the van too.
It was the perfect van for us for Glasto, and my first camper van experience!
