WHEN CAN I PICK UP AND RETURN THE VAN?
We ask that you collect your van no earlier than 3pm on the day of collection. Please return the van before 12pm on your last day. If you need anything outside of these hours, please let us know at the time of booking and we will try our best to accommodate.
WILL YOU DEMONSTRATE HOW EVERYTHING WORKS?
Upon collection we will explain how everything works and answer any questions. Please allow up to half an hour for this as it is important we demonstrate everything in the van.
IS THERE A SECURITY DEPOSIT?
Yes you will need to pay a £750 security deposit via Camptoo.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR HIRE?
Yes unfortunately due to insurance restrictions we are unable to hire out a van to anyone under 23 or over 75 years old.
HOW LONG DO I NEED TO HAVE HELD MY LICENCE FOR?
You have to have held a full UK or EU license for at least 24 months.
WHAT IS YOUR FUEL POLICY?
We operate a full to full fuel policy. We will provide the van with a full tank, just remember to fill up before you return the van. If you are unable to, we will charge you for the cost to fill the tank plus a small admin fee. This will be taken from the security deposit.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Sure! We are happy for you to bring your dog. Please let us know before booking.
CAN I TAKE THE VAN OVERSEAS?
Only if agreed at the time of booking. We can arrange for European Insurance and Breakdown cover which will incur an additional cost.
WHAT DO YOU SUPPLY WITH THE VAN?
We make sure you have everything you need for your trip. Cups, Plates, Cutlery, Pots, Pans etc. We do not supply bedding though, so please bring your own.
DOES THE VAN HAVE A HEATER FOR THE WINTER MONTHS?
We supply a small heater that can be plugged in when on electric hook-up. We recommend during the winter that you ensure you stay on campsites with electric-hookup facilities.
ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON DRIVING PENALTIES OR CONVICTIONS?
Yes you must have no more than 6 penalty points
HOW ABOUT PREVIOUS CLAIMS?
You must not have had more than one previous claim in the last five years.
WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?
Prior to collecting a van we will need to see the following information:
- Photocard driving licence
- Driving licence check code ()
- Utility bill dated within 90 days. Name and Address must match driving licence
- Another Utility bill or Bank/Credit Statement or Council Tax Statement dated within 90 days. Name and Address must match driving licence
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF A BREAKDOWN?
Whilst we do our best to ensure our vans are reliable and maintained to the highest standard, an unexpected breakdown or failure can sometimes occur. We provide full UK breakdown cover to attempt to fix the vehicle at your location, but if not the van can be returned back to base. It is a condition of hire that in the event of a complete mechanical failure, the van must be returned to us unless otherwise agreed. We will of course refund the remainder of your hire. Please note we cannot be responsible for other related bookings or costs and we advise you to take out suitable travel insurance cover if required.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HAVE AN ACCIDENT?
Please ensure you are safe and then take all the normal steps as if you were in your own vehicle. Please take relevant contact details of all involved parties and take photographs where possible. Once you are able to do so, please contact us for further assistance.
The security bond for this vehicle is $1,250. The bond will be refunded after your trip ended and needs to be authorized at least 2 days before your trip starts.
