So this is our new Dreamer Camper Five (from the Rapido Group). We have two children, and also go away by ourselves, so researched long and hard about the perfect van set up for us, and this hit the mark.
It has two single beds at the back - bunk beds that are always set up which is just perfect as bed set up is such a faff. Kids duvets etc can all be left on it. It also has a little seating area at the back (that converts the bottom bunk into a double bed if you needed it to be a five berth ) We only have two kids so it stays as bunk beds with a seating area. However if you are a couple, you can remove both the rear bunks for extra storage so it's incredibly versatile.
It has a great kitchen with a huge fridge freezer, bigger than most in a house. Great for cooking bulk and storing in the fridge! Good storage throughout and handy large storage area under the bottom bunk for inflatable kayaks, skateboards, wellies etc
It has two rear seats for kids or adults and a spare seat that can be clipped on to the bench on the side. Not necessarily something I'd like to travel long distances on but it's there if needed a child wouldn't care about the seat! The dining and seating area has an added L-shape section and also captain swivel seats so easy to fit five around the table.
The best part is the double bed that drops down from the ceiling and can be put away with bedding and all when not in use. Plenty of head room when it's up doesn't impact roof height at all.
We've added quite a few extras to this van :
- Thule Awning
- Solar Panels
- Two Leisure Batteries
- Inverter (plug in appliances, laptops etc when not on electric hookup)
- Shower at the back (kids get sandy or whatever can have outside shower)
- Underfloor Heating
- Habitation Air Con Unit
With the underfloor heating, combi diesel boiler and insulated habitation it's also ideal for winter adventures so you can stay nice and toasty. We have also included bedding, pillows, sheets, cutlery, pans and mugs so it is ready to head straight out.
Some of the dates listed as unavailable (often during school holidays) could be what we have provisionally earmarked for our own usage so there is a possibility we could change these if you needed it. Just get in touch!
