Big Bessie (C1 licence required)

Big Bessie (Bessacarr 496, 2017) is our gorgeous 6 berth, low profile motorhome located just outside the city of York at the foot of the Howardian Hills, with easy access to the A1 motorway.  She provides all you need to travel in luxury with family or friends. 

Due to her size a C1 licence is required which will be on all licences if you pasted your test before 1 Jan 1997, otherwise you would have needed to pass a C1 test.

She is cleverly designed for maximum use of space, featuring a centrally located hydraulic (pull down) double bed with an additional double bed option underneath as well as a large u-shaped lounge to the rear of the vehicle, which can easily be converted to a double bed and left in situ for the duration of your holiday, or kept as a lounge for smaller groups.   Belted seating for 6 people surrounds a table ideal for dining or playing board games.  As well as a bathroom incorporating a toilet, shower and sink, additional features include a kitchen area incorporating an oven/hob), microwave and fridge freezer which all operate either electrically or using gas.

There is a large rooflight, TV and aerial, side awning, solar panel and rear bike rack for 4 bikes.  Safety features include a fitted smoke alarm, a separate carbon monoxide alarm, fire blanket and extinguisher.  Kitchen accessories, crockery and cutlery are included.
