The camper, despite been fairly new, had some electrical issues which didn't allow us to fully enjoy our stays in various campsites. After picking up the camper in the afternoon, we drove for about 3hrs and once arrived at the campsite, connected the camper to the mains and realised that the plug sockets weren't working (this wasn't shown to us during the training). We called the campsite engineer who checked the mains and advised us to check if there was a blown fuse. We checked all the fuses we could find, looking at manuals, online videos, etc. which took a lot of our precious family time, but unfortunately it seemed that the fuses weren't the cause of the problems. The following day, we drove to another campsite and found out that the leisure battery was only charging when driving but not when connected to the campsites mains.
Frustrated to loose more time to fix the camper, we ended up using it just for sleeping, since we had to eat out and use the campsites external toilets and showers. What a disappointment!!!
At the drop off, we recommended Lee to get the camper checked by a professional electrician...
Next time, we will rent it from a Camper-van Hire company...
